THE DESIGN
This scheme is about bringing the new direction in maximal decorating into the kitchen and turning up the luxe factor by creating dramatic contrasts; matching sleek new fittings with aged textures and placing basic black cabinetry against splashes of blushing pink.

WHY IT WORKS
Because it’s built on a palette that you can adapt to your taste. Basically, you begin with monochrome cabinetry and benchtops, layering them with an accent colour like this pink splashback and accessories. Finish with a complementary metallic hue for details.
