We all want art that beautifies our home and speaks to our soul, but it can be hard to know where to start, especially if we’re limited by the constraints of something so decidedly unartistic as a budget.
Enter the Affordable Art Fair (AAF), a global event series bridging the gap between creative expression and budgetary constraints. The fair will be held at the Royal Exhibition Building from 27 to 30 August and will showcase thousands of original artworks priced between $100 and $10,000. Launching almost 30 years ago in London, the AAF is now held in a smattering of locations across Europe, Asia and North America, and made its way down under for the first time in 2019.

After a successful trip to Sydney last November and Brisbane in May, the fair will return to Melbourne this month, where it’s predicted to attract more than 18,000 art-lovers eager to see what’s on offer from over 70 local galleries and artists.
“The sixth edition of Affordable Art Fair Melbourne is our most diverse and dynamic yet. Following record-breaking editions in Brisbane in May and Sydney last November, the Fair continues to grow in popularity, attracting an increasingly broad and engaged audience,” says Georgia.
